In September 2017, the I3P seated its inaugural board of advisors. These distinguished, senior-level cybersecurity leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors will advance the work of the I3P by providing strategic advice as external advisors who inform the I3P research agenda, and enabling sustained impact of I3P research by serving as liaisons to high level connections; including project sponsorship leads to support the I3P research agenda.

Roberta G. (Bobbie) Stempfley (Chair) joined the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute as director of the SEI’s CERT Division in June 2017. Stempfley previously served as director of cyber strategy implementation at MITRE Corp. and as acting assistant secretary and deputy assistant secretary, Office of Cyber Security and Communications, Department of Homeland Security.
Renee Forney is currently the CEO of the Forney Group LLC, a strategic consulting firm focusing on Enterprise Risk Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence and Cyber Workforce, as well as the Executive Managing Director of Global Cyber Security Management at Equinoxys Inc. Mrs. Forney previously served as Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) for Cybersecurity and Enterprise Operations at the US Department of Energy.
Daniel Garrie, Esq. is the managing partner of Law & Forensics, and co-head of ZEK’s Cybersecurity Practice where he coordinates the firm’s privacy, forensics and e-discovery practices. Mr. Garrie, who has written over 100 articles on legal and technology topics, is one of the most sought-after cyber security and e-discovery experts in the country having advised federal and state judges.
